MARREE LAKE EYRE FLIGHTS Undertake a flight to experience one of the wonders of nature – the filling of Lake Eyre! Wrightsair is now also situated at Marree, which is at the junction of the Birdsville &Oodnadatta Tracks, South Australia.
Wrightsair is mindful of your wish to enjoy viewing Lake Eyre the best possible way. For this reason our aircraft fly slower, so you get a better look, we provide big clear windows for excellent views and lots of leg room for a more comfortable ride. So welcome aboard! Our flights are as follows:- FLIGHT 1: Marree - Lake Eyre 1.5 Hour Flight. (See Red line on above map) This 1½ hour flight from Marree incorporates the sites of Madigan Gulf, Jackboot Bay, Bonython Headland, and Lake Eyre South before returning back to Marree. Price:$280 pp. FLIGHT 2: Marree - Lake Eyre 2.5 Hour Flight. (See Black line on above map) This 2½ hour flight from Marree includes flying over local cattle stations on the way to the Cooper Creek Punt. It then follows floodwaters, crosses the Tirari Desert on the way over to Lake Eyre North. Over Lake Eyre North the sights taken in include Madigan Gulf, Jackboot Bay and Bonython Headland, before flying over Lake Eyre South on the return to Marree. Price $395 pp.
This is the Premium Deluxe Flight of Lake Eyre from Marree. Departing from Marree it takes the viewer right up to the Warburton Creek entry, where waters flow into lake Eyre North. On the way to the top of Lake Eyre we stay up high to see the mouth of the Cooper Creek then down low around the Macumba and Warburton Creek/Warburton Groove precinct. The flight then follows the Warburton Groove down to Hughes , Dalhunty and Silcrete Islands. This flight allows you to witness a magnificent view of the entire stretch of Lake Eyre.
